Instead of 4 cameras, there are only three in the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G: The aforementioned main and ultra-wide-angle cameras are joined by a 2 MP macro camera (f/2.4). Xiaomi has removed the 5 MP macro camera and the 2 MP depth sensor of the Redmi Note 10 Pro from our review sample. The latter delivers good image quality and takes coherent portrait shots. There is also a 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 118° field of view (f/2.2) and a 16 MP selfie camera (f/2.4). The 108 MP main camera (f/1.9) is still based on the Samsung HM2, which takes 12 MP photos using 9-in-1 pixel binning. The camera setup of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is largely the same as that of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Thanks to IP53 certification, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is dust- and water resistant, but should not go for a swim. The same applies to the buttons, including the power button with its integrated fingerprint sensor, which sit firmly in the frame.
The frame of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is made of plastic and, together with the glass back and AMOLED panel, forms a solid unit that feels high-quality all around. At 202 grams, however, the smartphone is not exactly light. The AMOLED screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and a protective film is attached to the screen ex factory.Īt a height of 8.1 millimeters, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is just as slim as the Redmi Note 10 Pro, but uses a much flatter and more angular design, ensuring a secure grip when held. Even the included protective cover cannot completely prevent this. The camera module, including the 108 MP main camera, protrudes almost 4 millimeters from the backcover, causing the smartphone to wobble back and forth quite a bit on the table. The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G, for example, offers similar color effects on its back cover. Depending on the viewing angle, the reflections look like water movements, which is particularly noticeable in bright ambient light. The glass back cover is barely susceptible to fingerprints, while the blue color variant dazzles with its chic light effects. Xiaomi offers the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G in the case colors Graphite Gray (black), Polar White (white) and Atlantic Blue (blue).
